Golden Pencil Giveaway Terms & Conditions
The Golden Pencil Giveaway is available during the Key Food Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway on July 25, 2026, at participating Key Food locations.
One Golden Pencil prize will be placed inside one backpack at each participating store, for a total of six prizes across all participating locations. Each Golden Pencil prize is valued at $520 and will be awarded in the form of a Key Food gift card.
The $520 value is intended to represent “Free School Lunch for a Year,” calculated at $10 per week for 52 weeks. The gift card is not restricted to school lunch purchases and may be used toward eligible purchases at Key Food. The winner may use the gift card over time or in a single transaction, subject to standard gift card terms and store policies.
No purchase is necessary to participate. Backpacks are available while supplies last. Receiving a backpack does not guarantee receiving a Golden Pencil prize. Limit one backpack per child or family, as determined by store discretion and event availability.
Golden Pencil prizes are non-transferable prior to award and may not be exchanged for cash or substituted for another prize. Key Food reserves the right to verify winners and disqualify any participant who tampers with the giveaway process, violates these terms, or acts in a fraudulent or disruptive manner.
Odds of winning depend on the number of backpacks distributed at each participating location. Each participating store will have one winning backpack.
By accepting the prize, winners agree that Key Food may use their name, likeness, photo, and/or general location for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Key Food is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced Golden Pencil prize inserts or gift cards once awarded. Gift card use is subject to standard Key Food gift card terms and conditions.
This giveaway is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key Food reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if circumstances arise that affect the fairness, security, or proper administration of the promotion.

Coupon valid for $5.00 off a single purchase of $50.00 or more (before taxes and fees). One coupon per household, per mailing. Not valid with any other offers, discounts, or promotions. No cash value. All items must be purchased in a single transaction. Void if copied, transferred, sold, or altered. Valid only at participating Key Food store locations. Must present coupon at time of purchase. Coupon cannot be applied to prior purchases. Not redeemable for cash or gift cards. Excludes alcohol, tobacco, lottery, money orders, money transfers, and other items prohibited by law. Store management reserves the right to refuse or limit coupon use at their sole discretion.
